Yes, I realized I skipped 3-6 months but I was a zombie for a while and my memory of that time is foggy! The few things I do remember BG loving at that time were:
Car Seat Toys - I didn't even know these were a thing until I got one as a gift. Great to keep her entertained in the backseat.
Sit Me Up Chair - BG never liked laying down! She always wanted to be able to see what was going on around her. We got this seat as soon as she could hold her head up well and she loved it. I would drag it in the bathroom with my while I got ready or in the kitchen while I cooked.
Zen Sleep Sack - We transitioned BG out of her swaddle around 8 weeks because she kept busting out! We did a few days of the swaddle with one arm out, then a few days with both arms out. I loved these Zen sleepsacks because they have a lightly weighted pad on the front, which mimics the pressure from your touch. I think it was a good transition until we moved onto regular sleepsacks.
For 6-9 month favorites:
Baby food ice cube trays - I began giving BG purees at 6.5 months and started out with sweet potatoes and apples. I would cook them in the oven to get them soft, then peel, and put in the food processor with breast milk. These trays made it so easy to freeze the purees into portions. When I needed it, I would just take a few cubes out of the freezer, warm them up, and voila!
Foam floor tiles - We needed to create a little space for BG to play so we got these foam tiles to put down. I searched high and low to find some that wouldn't stand out too much in our apartment and didn't look too baby-ish.
VTech Sit to Stand Walker - Maybe this is the reason BG started walking at 10 months?! The toy on the front of this pops off so you can play with it on the floor, which is what we did.
GoPod - This is a great for when you need your baby to be stationary but don't want to put them in a stroller. We used it at the park, at grandparent's house, on the deck. It folds up like a tailgate chair so it's easy to transport.
Lobster High Chair - We don't have a lot of extra space in our apartment and I'm trying to have as little baby stuff around as possible. This highchair clips onto our bar counter and isn't an eye sore.
Burpy Bib - Food is messy and learning to eat it is a disaster. These bibs cover almost all of baby's top half and are much more effective than all the cute bibs you got as shower gifts.
Bella Tunno bib - When you start solids, you'll want to avoid as much food on the floor as possible. The pockets on these catch a lot.
Corn teether - This was by far BG's favorite thing to chew on.
SmartNoggin Rattle - It makes noise and lights up - a win/win.
